Bridging Conflict
The persecution of POWER tends to dominate in cross-level relationships, and this creates unnecessary conflict.
Employers may have unrealistic targets while employees seem to take things at their own pace. It is always hard to see and understand the pressures that both sides are under and the need to be open in sharing expectations in a constructive and cooperative manner will help both sides see the benefits.
If fear is present, perhaps people are less likely to be vulnerable. Employers must coach their staff, while employees must learn to be open to constructive input.
